There isn’t a lot of information available online regarding the current status of Fuchsia. It seems that Google is trying to keep the details a secret until such time when it is ready to become released to the public. A lot of people know that this has already been released to developers so that they can try it out but there are still many things that this needs before it can be available to replace Android which is what a lot of people are using right now.
According to some analyzers and researchers, there are still things that may be changed regarding Fuchsia and it may become available after five years or so. That is still a long time from today.

I think you have to be heavily into the IT industry to know how far Fuschia is into development. There are numerous gossipy whispers in the Tech press, We do know it has been trialled on Pixelmator, and that some Android apps can be operated when Fuschia is released. Fuschia is developed with the idea of being able to do whatever you want on whatever device you have.
The most recent information I can find is that a new file's been added to the Android Open Source Project. This is the addition of a special version of ART - Android Runtime — to Fuschia. It would allow Android apps to run on Fuschia, so at least in this respect moving over to Fuschia from Android would be easier.
