The elementary charge of an electron is 1.60217662 × 10-19 coulombs. If this would be shortened, it will be -1.602 x 10-19. If you would like to get the electron’s charge, you may denote it by −e. The electrons are known to be negatively charged, and they are very effective in balancing out the positively charged particles that can be found inside the atom which are called protons.

What makes the electrons different from protons and neutrons is that they orbit the atom instead of being inside the nucleus. They can be very effective in creating the flow of energy that will make certain processes easier to do, especially since atoms bump into other atoms all the time.

The electron is considered to be important because it carries a lot of energy especially the electrons that can be found on the outer layer of atoms. If electrons do not exist, there are a lot of processes and items that will cease to exist.
