It should be remembered that the electric field will be felt more by charged particles. Since a neutron does not come with any charge, it will not experience any force from the electric field at all, which means that it will not get affected. There was a time when people were not aware of the existence of neutrons.

There were things that people did not know yet, so they had more questions than answers. When neutrons were finally discovered, it brought the answers that people needed at that time. The details that were formulated then are still being used right now, especially in the study of particle physics and other related subjects.

The neutron is not impacted by an electric field, but magnetic fields have a clear impact on the neutron. The neutrons do not have an electrical charge and within the atom, it is the protons and electrons that have an electrical charge. They seem to be the highly active elements of the atom.

Magnetic fields do seem to have an impact on neutrons. The parts of the atom are crucial to their stability and they also have an impact on the environment around them. As research continues, we learn to better handle even the tiniest of elements of nature. Who knows if there are even smaller elements and other factors that will be discovered in the future. But we are clear that the neutron is not impacted by an electrical field.

People would like to know if electrons will be affected by electric fields and the answer to this is no. Electrons do not have any electric charge so they will not be detected even if they are placed in electric fields. They will start to show some charge if they would be placed in magnetic fields. Since the electron is negatively charged, it will usually go towards the positively charged plate.

This is the same with protons when they are observed in the magnetic field. The protons will go towards the negatively charged area because they are attracted to it. Neutrons are bound to stay neutral but there may also be some differences with their spin.
