A lot of people are aware that most atoms come with neutrons, protons, and electrons. Hydrogen is an atom that is well-known for not having any neutrons. It only comes with one electron and one proton. Aside from hydrogen, another atom that does not come with neutrons is called Protium.

This comes with a single proton and a single electron as well. This is also considered to be the simplest atom available. If you would check the other atoms that are available, you will see that they come with neutrons. Just remember that the number of neutrons available in different atoms is different from each other. Some atoms with neutrons are stable.

Out of all the atoms, Hydrogen is the only stable atom that does not have any neutrons. This particular one is an isotope called protium. It is an element of hydrogen, and it is a stable atom that does not have neutrons.
Normally, all other atoms have neutrons, electrons and protons.

Out of all the atoms, Hydrogen is the only stable atom that does not have any neutrons. This

The electrons and protons have positive and negative charges, and only the neutrons have no charge. But it is a vital element in the structure of the atom. As a basic structure of the atom, you would surely expect all three parts of the atom to be there. But this protium type of hydrogen is the only atom that does not have neutrons.

The only atom that has no neutron is an isotope of Hydrogen called Protium. It contains one proton and one electron, which is also the simplest atom. It is also known as Hydrogen-1 which has an atomic mass of 1.01. The name, Protium, has a single proton in its nucleus thus given its formal name. No observations have yet found that Protium decay so this is considered as a stable isotope.

Experiments showed that half-life of this isotope is 1034 years. Protium can really last for years and exist for a long time due to its stability even though it is the simplest atom. No neutron is needed to maintain its stability.
