The fastest train in the world right now is the Shanghai Maglev. This is a train that is known to move as fast as 267 mph. The train has gotten its name because it uses magnetic levitation in order to move. This is a train that can take you from the Pudong International Airport going to Longyang Rd.

The trains come and go but you can expect the next train to arrive in about 15 - 20 minutes up to 9:30 in the evening. Be prepared to shell out about 50 Yuan but the price will be cheaper if you would show proof of the airline tickets that you have purchased.

Civilization led people to invent a more faster mode of transportation that would be efficient. This led to the invention of trains in the early 1800s in the United Kingdom and was meant to be used for the transportation of iron. Initially there were the pre-steam wagons, then the steam, electric, diesel and the high-speed rail. Now trains have become one of the most comfortable and reliable modes of transportation and have been made accessible to the general population.
