It was in the year 1804 when the first train was started in the world. The first train ran on steam. It was a steam locomotive and it was called Penydarren. The first goal of this train is to carry iron from one place to another and it worked well. The first travel of the train was from Tydfil to Wales.

The first train may have been created there but it did not take long before other countries started making and running their own trains. In some parts of the world, the train is considered to be the best mode of transportation that people can use to go from one place to another.

Railway started in about the 6th century BC in Greece. Evidence shows that there was a track of 6 to 8.5km from Isthmus to Corinth that was used to transport boats. These wheeled vehicles were pulled by men and animals helped the wagon to stay on track. These trains could pull about 25 tons of iron and 70 people over the distance of 10 miles.

At first there were the pre-steam, then the steam, electric, diesel and the high-speed rail. The trains in the beginning were not as fast as the ones now, but were one of the safest modes of transportation compared to what existed in that time. Currently there are trains that are capable of carrying tons of goods and even thousand of passengers and being able to go fast. There are a variety of trains that exist now from city train, to subway trains to electric trains to distance trains to freight trains and ghe high-speed bullet trains

In the early 1800, 1804 to be exact, the first train was invented, built and used. However, it did not go very far. As a matter of fact, it traveled about ten miles down the track. It carried several people and several tons of iron. The train seemed to be the first mode of transportation that could get people safely across the United States.

Trains have used three types of ways to move. They have used electricity, steam and fuel. Eventually, trains began to move by steam and the first commercial steam train could travel quite fast for that time. However, they do not go as fast as trains do today. It is hard to imagine how different the first train was to today’s train.
