To me, Alexander the Great wasn't only one of the greatest conquerors ever lived; he is debatably the greatest of them all. Although there was a great fighter like Chandragupta Maurya, Genghis Khan, who fought and claimed so many territories, they can never match the person of Alexander.

So many things made Alexander stood out. One of the reasons why l see Alexander as the greatest conqueror is that he started going to war at a very young age after he became the king of Macedonia. He was able to conquer so many territories at this age.

Alexander conquered the empire of Persia, one of the strongest empires during that period. Also, history tells us that Alexander never lost any battle. Alexander was a brave person, he was a perfect strategist, and he had so many tactics, and he was able to use those tactics to fulfill his destiny and dreams.

Many consider Alexander the Great to be one of the greatest conquerors of all times. When looking at the statistics and the many battles that he won, the best answer to this question is yes. Alexander built an army that most kings of his age would have been envious of. He used battle tactics that were unfamiliar to many of his enemies.

What Alexander was able to accomplish is astounding. He marched his army over 17,000 km adding new territories to his holdings. He also brought Greek culture and influence into the lands that he defeated. While he was a fair ruler, he had a ruthless streak in him as well. Several towns fell to him, in which all the inhabitants were slaughtered and their homes and temples reduced to nothing.

To say that he was anything less than a brilliant and ambitious leader is to take away from what he set out to do. Alexander the Great is still held in esteem today, and the tactics that he used on the battlefield are still studied in military history classes. To not have any recorded losses on his historical record answers the question in itself. He was and remains one of the greatest conquerors of the ages.
