Why is Bach said to better than Beethoven?

Both Bach and Beethoven were German western music composers. The truth is both Bach and Beethoven contributed immensely to the advancement of classical western music during their time. I really don't think Bach was in any better than Beethoven because both were extremely talented song composers.

Beethoven was born 20 years after the death of Bach, and he became a great admirer of Bach's music styles. And most of the time, he would use the preludes of Bach's songs in his own compositions. This, to me, was just a sign of love and a clever to appreciate someone's else works.

So, the supposed greatness of Bach over Beethoven is simply because Bach came earlier before Beethoven, and probably because Beethoven used to make use of Bach's music in his own compositions. Beethoven's musical compositions are great because Beethoven himself was greatly influenced by Mozart and Haydn. And Bach was great too.

Bach is one of the most favored composers of all times. His pieces have been among the most requested of all time, and many feel that his music encompasses so much more than many of the other composers. Although Beethoven stirred the emotions with his works of art, Bach rocked them all. The compositions of Bach went from one extreme to the opposite end of the spectrum.

Beethoven began the romantic movement in music, but Bach remained more with the religious side to composing. His compositions have been reported to be too angelic to have come from human hands. The Lutheran Church has embraced many of his works and use them in services from time to time.

Bach wrestled with his faith, and the music that he composed brings to fruition the frustrations that he had, but it also embraces the Lutheran doctrine of the time that he held. Bach can wring emotions from his music that many are surprised to feel while listening to the pieces. This is why his music is said to be superior to Beethoven and other composers.
