Beethoven's letters to his friends are so famous because, after his death, the letters were still compiled and even published. A very referenced man that made a large collection of Ludwig Beethoven's letters is Dr. Ludwig Ritter Von Köchel.

Lady Wallace also translated the letters and published it almost with no cost and restrictions in the year 2014. Of course, Beethoven is a popular man, a celebrity known almost in every country. People are always interested in knowing what is going on in the life of every celebrity, especially when they are fans to him (the celebrity).

In addition, Beethoven's friends were famous folks also, at least to a particular extent. Many of his letters were also to his lovers; he actually had a number of them. Beethoven was fond of writing letters to his lovers, and even composing for them.

Some letters were found in Beethoven's documents after his death, which he wrote concerning some of his lovers. The precise lady he wrote them to are not known till this day.

His letters, including one that was a love letter written to a married woman, allow us to feel what he was going through at the time. Although the love letter was never mailed, it has since come to light, and the contents revealed.

It is hard to ascertain all of his thoughts, as some of his papers were changed or destroyed by his former secretary, although the reason why is not fully known. It has been speculated that this was done to put Beethoven’s views more in line with those of his secretary, but this has not been firmly established.
