Beethoven’s music to me is extremely relaxing. Whether you are playing the composition on an instrument or listening to the music via the radio, the music can encompass you. Whatever mood you might be in, there is something to soothe and relax as you listen or play.
When it comes to putting your fingers to a piano, the stress of the day can melt away. While playing through some of the sonata’s, these can help to evoke a feeling of calm. Moonlight Sonata is a favorite for kids to listen to before bed, while some of the others are better for boosting morale.
Music always brings forth emotion. There are times when playing a piece, it can make a person weep, just through the sheer emotion. It is almost as though one is connecting with the original composer, and feeling what they might have when working through a finished piece.
The emotions felt by each person will vary as they work through the various compositions. No one feels the music the same way. What might relax one, could very well feel depressing to another, while someone else might find hope and purpose.
