Music can be so emotional, and it goes deep into one's soul when listened to. Same is the case of Beethoven's songs; plus, the fact that his lyrics are raw. His songs are songs I have always been listening to since my younger age. Though as a young boy that was still growing then, I hardly feel anything when I listened to Beethoven's songs. Well, much was not expected of me as I was just learning to differentiate the right from the left. Now, as a grown man, whenever I listen to Beethoven, the first thing that comes to my mind is the originality of his lyrics.

His lyrics are still significant over the years. I feel there is an empty space within me that needs to be filled up with something, especially his song "Für Elise." As I follow the lyrics of the song, I just feel my soul is opened up; the music creates a space in my souls. At another point, I feel happy, and kind of satisfied with myself and life after a deep line might have been sung through, accompanied by fantastic chords from the string instruments.

The emotions felt by each person will vary as they work through the various compositions. No one feels the music the same way. What might relax one, could very well feel depressing to another, while someone else might find hope and purpose.
