On a percentage ratio, less than 20 percent of the world's populace has actually traveled by plane as of the year 2017. The ratio of people that have traveled on an airplane to those that have not is approximately one to five (1:5) this year. It is being projected that this percentage would be doubled in like ten years to come. This number is a result of the level of the world's development rate. Many of the countries in the world, especially in Africa and Asia continent, are still developing.

Therefore, not that many people have access to the air means of transportation. In addition, considering the level of the world's financial status, not everyone can afford to travel by air. Acquiring tickets to travel by air is a bit more expensive than other means of transportation. Most people that travel through the airplane do so because of business, and not many people are really involved in international business. Only a few travels with airplanes for leisure.

Near to zero proportion of people travel FROM aeroplanes, Not a nice way to die! However you must mean travel IN or BY aeroplane. I can't answer this unless you specify which journey you are talking about.

Near to zero proportion of people travel FROM aeroplanes, Not a nice way to die! However you must

If you are talking about New York to London, or anywhere that entails crossing an ocean, then it's going to be around95% but if you're talking of, say, Cheyenne to Denver, then it may only be 10% or less. Think out your question carefully and consider what options of travel there are and whether any are really feasible if you don't like the idea of flying.

However, statistically, flights are safer than road travel although it never seems that way when you are considering getting on board, does it?
