The most common reason why abortion is banned in certain countries is due to religion. Catholics believe that the moment that the baby is formed in the womb of the mother, it is already alive.

Abortion would mean killing life, and this is one of the ten commandments. People are not supposed to kill other people, and the embryo that is starting to become bigger is already alive in the mother’s womb.

There are also some who say that they believe that the baby already feels pain while it is being aborted. There are some studies about this wherein experts believe that there is no truth to this.

When looking at the issue from a world perspective, most of the countries that ban abortion do so from the argument related to the embryo/fetus being life.

Again, this discussion regardless of where it is around the world relates to how culture, race, and religion of a particular group of people perceive life. In cultures where life is seen as eternal, the fetus and having children are seen as very important parts of being good human beings.

For a woman to have an abortion, it is essentially seen as a violent act against nature and the unborn child itself. For this reason, countries that ban abortion do so because of a deep respect for life.

Another reason the abortion is banned is because it is deemed unsafe in some parts of the world. Whether the country has inadequate medical supplies or cannot provide the proper medical professionals to perform the procedure, the procedure is not really safe. Furthermore, women who do have abortions without the proper care risk exposure to serious complications.
