One of the most difficult things parents face is when kids don’t listen to them, if your kids do not listen to you, here are some tips that can help you.
Show, not tell: instead of just saying what you want the child to do, show the child how to do it. For instance, instead of just saying “it goes to the bin”. Go to the bin, point to it and say, “it goes to the bin”. Showing your child how to do things is a more effective way to communicate.
Reward good listening behaviour: offering an easy reward or incentive when your child listens to you can help improve their listening behaviour.
Instead of repeating yourself, say one word to get their attention. Write a note, it’s very powerful to kids when things are written down.
