What things should I know about single parenting?

Single parenting is not an easy task; here are certain things you should know that can make parenting a bit easier for you.

Show love to your child: praise your child, show him or her unconditional love, set out time to play and listen to your child.

Take care of yourself: this is one aspect where many single parents are failing; many are notoriously self-sacrificing for their children. As you watch out for your child always, remember to watch out for yourself. Eat healthy, get quality sleep and include physical activity in your routine.

Your child needs attention not gadgets: don’t worry if you cannot get the latest game or iPod for your child, what your child needs the most is you, instead of making forgettable purchases, make memories with them through spending quality time with them.

Remember, there are no perfect families, ask for help when you need it, you are enough for your kids and you are much stronger than you know.
