George Washington was the first official president of the United States. After the Revolutionary War when the country gained its freedom from Great Britain, the country needed a leader and they found it in George Washington.

When a country gains its freedom, it is very difficult for the country to stand on its own two feet. During Washington’s first term, he had to make difficult decisions for his country. After his first term, George planned on quitting and going back to farming.

However, the country still had issues, so he remained as president. There were many things that Washington did during his two terms, but he was ready to quit because it had become difficult. He was tired and felt that another term would affect his health.
