Is love necessary before getting married to someone?

It may seem that people want to be in love before they get married to their spouse. However, there are arranged marriages that take place in other countries and have taken place in the past that still work. The couples are still married.

They learned to love each other over time. It does seem like this may help. You certainly don’t want to marry someone who you hate, but love is not necessary before getting married to someone.

Couples should not get married to each other for the wrong reasons like for money or power, but they can get married if they are wanting to learn to love each other later. Maybe if this occurred, then there wouldn’t be as many divorces in our country.
