Corporate life has the ability to teach you many good (and many hard) lessons if you are invested and pay attention. Some easy lessons would be things like learning new skills. If you are a part of a corporation, then chances are you had to be taught how to use things like a fax machine, a telephone with multiple lines and the ability to place calls on hold.
If the business is a mechanic or car servicing company, then you were taught to care for cars and how to do basic repairs. It can also teach you a lot about social dynamics, what is considered appropriate in a work place and how your friends and your coworkers may not be the same thing.
