Yes, I think CSR is one of the most important things about a business and many others agree. The economics of a company may have been generally okay without CSR in the past but as time goes on, more and more people care about what kind of companies they are giving their money to and promoting to their friends and families.
An example of this is how the makeup industry used to experiement using animals to test the side effects of the chemicals used. Now most people will refuse to buy makeup from a company that tests on animals.
