In order to answer whether QQ chat or WeChat is better, it will come down to deciding which service you are using it for. If you are a student and are trying to use an IM that most of your friends use or to communicate while in school, QQ chat is probably better for you.
Unfortunately, using this IM chat comes with it's own set of issues, primarily viruses. So in order to use QQ chat you will likely need to use a third party provider to keep your computer virus free. Otherwise, you may find that WeChat is better suited for adults to communicate with other adults they do not work with.
