QQ chat was developed by a Chinese company called Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Company. QQ chat is also referred to as Tencent QQ. As recent as 2014, QQ chat was shown to have more than 200 million users with active profiles.
While QQ chat is still an extremely popular chat IM software, there is a second chat called WeChat which has began rising in popularity. People who are either too young to have a cell phone or are still in school often use QQ chat to communicate with friends and family. Additionally, those people who work in a group setting or who need to talk with other coworkers will use QQ chat as well.
