Colin Bogie joined the London office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP on February 1, 1999 as International Counsel and became partner in summer 2001. He is a member of the firms Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups.
Mr. Bogie previously practiced with Clifford Chance in London from 1987 to January 1999. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities offerings and corporate and financial restructuring. Mr. Bogies clients have included U.K. and international corporations, financial institutions, major investment banks and governmental bodies. Mr. Bogie is a graduate of Edinburgh University (1985) and is admitted to practice in Scotland, England and Wales.

Jeremy Hill is Global Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. A graduate of Oxford University, he joined the firm in 2004 having been a senior corporate and M&A Partner at Ashurst. He has extensive experience in insurance/reinsurance and financial institutions work, where his practice at Ashurst focused since 1985, including a period of secondment at Lloyds.

He has advised on some of Europes largest and most innovative transactions, including the Rockefeller Groups acquisition of a majority interest in Europa Capital, Clayton, Dubilier & Rices £1.4 billion sale of Brakes to Bain Capital, and the 3.7 billion acquisition of Rexel by the consortium of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Eurazeo and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity. From 1984 until 2011, Mr. Kiernan acted as Chair of Debevoises European Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions Groups.

Katherine Ashton is a partner with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in our London office. She has been resident in Europe since 1991, following five years in our New York office. She is dual-qualified in New York and English law.
Ms. Ashton has extensive experience in international financing transactions. She has concentrated on corporate finance, debt and equity offerings, restructurings and general corporate work for European and U.S. clients. In addition to corporate borrowers, she has represented many of the leading investment banks and major institutional investors. Ms. Ashton regularly advises European clients on U.S. securities laws matters, in particular the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
