The cocktail is a mixed drink typically made with a distilled liquor; it often contains one or more types of juices, fruits, and another flavoring. Gin is a fascinating liquor to explore because its botanicals give it characteristics that no other liquor has.

A cocktail made with gin is the classic gin martini. The beauty of the classic martini is that the gin and the dry vermouth is mixed in your preferred proportions and also best stirred. Another type of cocktail made with gin is the gin and tonic. It is very difficult to screw up, and it is always there when you need it.

The tonic and gin are the combinations of the drier side of soda highballs. There are other examples of cocktails typically made with gin, which include Gimlet, Negroni, Floradora, Hanky Panky, monkey gland, New Orland Fizz, and Singapore sling, etc.

One of the most common cocktails that is made with gin is probably the gin and tonic. It is the most obvious as well due to its name. If you are not a bartender, then you may not know which drinks contain gin because you do not make them. The gin and tonic is easy to remember how to make it based on its name.

Other cocktails that include gin would be a Long Island Iced Tea, Tom Collins, Salty Dog, Martini, and a Bijou. All of these drinks are made with some amount of gin. Some may have a lot of gin in them and some drinks may only require a small amount because they will add other liquors to the drink.
