The contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. are endless in the realm of humanity. He started in the 1950s when King had people boycott or stop riding the busses in Montgomery, Alabama. He believed in doing nonviolent methods in order to get his message across. One of the greatest accomplishments of King was to meet with Kennedy and enacted the Civil Right Acts in the 1960s which allowed more equal rights to everyone.
He also contributed by giving the most famous speech about the civil rights which was King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. This speech is easily recognized by many people. This led to King being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, but his greatest accomplishments included winning equal rights for African Americans.
