When deciding which president from the United States has been the best, it depends on the criteria. Some people base their answer on the president who had the best personality whereas others base it on how much they strengthened the economy. In my opinion, Lincoln was among the top ten best presidents, but I believe there were two other presidents above him.
Those are George Washington and James K. Polk. Washington was the father of our country and Polk gained the most land for the country from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Abraham Lincoln is a close third in my opinion because he created a country free from slavery. He may not have been alive when everyone in the U.S. was free, but his actions contributed to that.
