The differences between a glacier and a river are:
A glacier is formed from the accumulation of snow over a long period of time. It is a solid flowing ice. Glaciers are found on snow capped mountains or high latitude regions. A glacier is a moving hero of ice or snow. It creates a U shaped valley. When glaciers melt, they recharge rivers. WHILE
A river is a liquid flowing body of water flowing towards an ocean, lake, sea or another river. A river creates a V shaped valley. A river can be recharged from a melting glacier. It is also possible for river to flow into the ground and become dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water.
