The flower serves as the reproductive organ of a plant. It contains the seeds where a new life of its kind can start when it successfully pollinated and planted on the ground. Flowers produce a sperm that contains the pollen or ovary that have the ovules. There are species of plants that can self-pollinate, meaning, a certain plant can reproduce in a single flower while most plants require different flowers to pollinate.
Pollination ensures the survival of the plant’s species in the generations to come. Pollen transfers from one flower to another via wind and animals, most especially insects. The bees do not only gather nectar as their food but they play a vital role in keeping a large number of plant species exist.
