It depends on your age. It’s eventually up to you. Halloween is a day to dress up as a scary character but times have changed and Halloween is nowadays more of a cosplay event. You could go the old-fashioned way and dress up as a ghost, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and other classic horror genre villains. If you want new ideas, I would suggest you look at the best horror movies from 2018 and try out their costumes. Since horror movies have been rather simplistic with costume design, you should have an easier Halloween.
You can try the characters from the Abbott Family (John Krasinski, Emily Blunt etc) from the movie A Quiet Place and if you can afford the monster design you could have an epic decoration. (image below)
Same goes for Rafe Spall’s character in the movie The Ritual (image below).
The new Halloween movie that comes out last week can help you don the iconic character in his 2018 update. (image below)
You can even dress up as the Nun. (image below)
Now, since I talked about cosplay above. Let’s talk about popular characters from this year, you can dress up as. It includes any and every Marvel and DC Superhero and Villain. This is followed by Star Wars and Incredibles. There is always the possibility of the princess and prince trope common to small children every Halloween. The most common cosplay this Halloween season would be Venom, Black Panther, Wasp, Ant-Man, Deadpool and Lara Croft. I plan on dressing up as a vampire. I Hope you find the idea that you like and I wish you a Happy Halloween!
