A lot of people assume that a telescope is always needed in order to observe the various planets in the solar system. Not all of the planets are visible but Saturn is surely one of the planets that you can observe with your naked eye. You just need to have a sharp eye in order to see it. This is because of their movement.
There are times when they are close enough to be seen without the use of any gadgets. This explains why people before, even without all of the latest technologies and gadgets were able to note Saturn even before it was officially discovered. Saturn can be seen until December.
