Elizabeth Warren is a politician and academic serving as the senior United States senator from Massachusetts. She has held this seat since 2013. Warren was formerly a law professor, who taught for the School of law at the University of Texas, the University of Pennsylvania Law school, and most recently, Harvard. Warren was among the most mentioned law professors in the field of commercial law before she began her political career.
She earned her law degree in Pennslyvania, from Rutgers University. She is a Democrat. She previously worked as an assistant to the president and special advisor to the secretary of the treasury. She also served on The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, among several other roles.
