Quavo attended Berkmar School before dropping out his senior year to pursue his music career. During high school, Quavo was the quarterback on his high school football team and was believed by his coach to have a promising football career. Quavo was born in April 1991 at Atlanta in Georgia.
His mother raised him along with his nephew, Takeoff, and his cousin, Offset. When he was in seventh grade, he found new interest in hip-hop music, and along with his cousin and nephew, he began composing his music and songs. He started recording songs with Takeoff and Offset locally. The two used to take their songs to the clubs.
