Migos was formed by Quavo and fellow rappers Takeoff and Offset. The three members are related, and they were raised together by Quavo’s mother. They grew up together in Gwinnett County, which is a mostly suburban area outside northeast Atlanta, Georgia. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle. The offset is Quavo’s nephew.
Together, they ignited global trends such as “the dab,” which is the head dropped arm bent dance. Trap music is the bass-heavy Southern variant of hip-hop. They would rap to a frequency of just three beats in a standard 4/4-time signature. Quavo and Takeoff began rapping during their childhood. His family supported him.
