There are many vegetables and meats that call for them to be boiled. Boiling food is a good way to stay healthy. To do this, you simply fill a large pot with water. Usually, you should fill the pot a little over halfway full. You don’t want to overfill it with water because you have to put the food in it and you don’t want to cause the water to boil over the side of the pot.
After you do this, you turn the stovetop burner to medium or high and wait for the water to boil. Then you place your food in them. If you have potatoes and that is what you are boiling, then you will need to pour the water out of the pot after the potatoes are done. This is called decanting.
