Mars also has its own gravity but it should be noted that it is not as strong as the gravity that can be found here on earth. Mars is smaller which may explain why the gravitational pull is also smaller. At 3.711 m/s2, it is not too bad. The surface gravity on Mars is less than 40% of the total gravitational pull on the earth.
Even if people would try to plant some objects or would try to walk the same way that they walk on earth, this may not always be possible. The strength of its gravitational pull will highly depend on the object that is being pulled towards its surface.
