The correct answer to this question is Moa. 2.4 million years ago, these birds were found on New Zealand and lived until about 1400 years AD. Moas were found in areas like forests and grasslands. The specific location would depend on the species.

They are known as one of the tallest birds to have lived on the planet, and the females were heavier and taller than the male birds. Moa's resemble ostriches because they had a large body, a triangular beak, and a small head. Unlike most birds, Moa's are unable to fly because they didn't have wings.

The Moa is a bird of a different sort of feather; however, it is analogous to the earth-bound ostrich. It varies in size from that of a turkey to a size larger than an ostrich. Moas are swift and adept running birds, and they protect themselves by kicking when they are confronted.

While the larger of the species became extinct by the end of the 17th century, a few of the smaller of the species may have survived into the 19th century. Some scientists have said that the moa birds bear a resemblance to “overgrown chicks.” These birds grow at a prolonged rate, and they may take as long as ten years to reach their full-grown adult size.
