The first web browser was the WorldWideWeb, which was developed by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1990. However, it was a prototype. He recruited Nicola Pellow who worked on the codes and wrote the Line Mode Browser before releasing it to his colleagues in 1991 at CERN. There were a number of issues with the browsers in the start.
They displayed grayscale, had faults and would only support NeXT machines. Slowly, the internet started developing and advanced in complexity to the point we are standing at today. Today, we know countless browsers with new ones surfacing every day. Thanks to the better understanding of the code and the ease of development.
