Think of noodles as Chinese food (low fat) and spaghetti as Italian (a larger, fatter race). However, in many restaurants the noodles served are ramen noodles. These are particularly unhealthy because they contain a food additive called Tertiary-butyl hydroquinone. Authentic Italian spaghetti is made from durum wheat semolina but anyway milled wheat and water.
Noodles are considered good for lowering cholesterol, a spaghetti portion would have about 220 calories, 8 grams of protein, 43 grams of carbohydrate, 1 gram of fat and 3 grams of fiber. Spaghetti is a grain food and we are encouraged to eat wholegrain foods.
