Baby jaguars are referred to as cubs. Jaguars usually mate in the month of August and September. The female jaguar then carries the young one inside of it for about 100 days, after which she gives birth to about one to four baby jaguars. When given birth to, their eyelids are sealed shut. The cubs are able to open their eyes to see for the first time after about two weeks.
Between the age of six months to two years, the mother jaguars would train their children how to hunt, then after two years, the jaguars can now live their mothers to go and live independently on their own. The life span of jaguars is about 12 years.
Jaguars have the ability to live in several habitats, which range from forest to wood, desert, and they are also not afraid of water. Their eyes are very sharp and have the ability to see in darkness. They usually do their hunting at night, where they catch monkeys, fish, deer, and more as prey.
