Venus is the closest planet to the Earth, and Its’ orbit is the least elliptical of all the worlds. When the Earth and the Sun flank Venus, it experiences what is called inferior conjunction. It then makes its closest approach to Earth at 41 million kilometers.
Venus reaches inferior conjunction with Earth every 584 days. Because of Earths’ rotation, Venus is the Earths’ neighbor, and it will keep coming closer to Earth as time moves forward. Next, to Earth, Venus is a planet in which scientists have long contemplated colonizing because it would have many similarities to the Earth. It is a terrestrial planet, and it orbits within the Earths habitable zone.
