Nurses and pharmacists are responsible for measuring and dispensing drugs that are appropriate to what the patient should receive during the time given based on the doctor’s decisions. When a doctor prescribes a drug to a patient, he or she also decides how much of the drug the patient should take as well as how often he or she should take the medication.
Sometimes, the nurse or doctor does not want the patient to take too much of a drug within the hour, so they will prescribe taking medication like painkillers during a certain amount of time like an hour. Then the calculations must be done to determine whether the patient took the most of the drug that he or she should be taking.
