The accordion is a woodwind instrument. It is made up of reeds, keyboards and bellows. It is made out of wood and uses bellows to force air through free reeds inside the instrument to produce sound. The keyboard looks like a piano keyboard, some people classify the instrument as a keyboard instrument.

The keys release air, just like many other woodwind instrument. Accordion is more of a woodwind instrument than a keyboard instruments.
