Aerospace engineers that focus on air crafts are called aeronautic engineers while does that specialize in space crafts are called aeronautics engineers. The job roles of an aerospace engineer depends on his speciality.

Some of their job roles are:

- Developing and design aerospace products.
- Detecting damages and malfunctions in machines, engines and other aerospace products, discovery the cause of the problem and providing possible solutions.
- Developing new technologies that can be used in air transport.
- They also work on aerodynamic fluid flow, propulsion systems, robotics, guidance, communication and control systems.
