Disprin is a painkiller drugs use to ease a headache, toothache, sore throat, period pain, and fatigue. It is also used to relieve pains and fever associated with cold and flu. It was banned in many developed countries like the US, India, and others due to the life-threatening side effects.
These effects include swelling in the brain and liver, vomiting, drowsiness, and others. Disprin contains the active ingredient like aspirin; it works by blocking the action of an enzyme in the body called cyclo-oxygenase (COX).
COX is involved in the production of prostaglandins, which causes pain, swelling, inflammation, blood clots, and platelets to clump together. Disprin is not suitable for children and adolescents under 16 years of age.
