The main reason why people find it depressing is because of some of the plot holes that people are finding in trailers. There are some people who are saying that there are some magic spells that were done in the wrong places. There are also some who say that they find the story a bit unpredictable and inconsistent with the world of wizardry that they used to know.
Yet, there are still some people who are willing to give a chance to the movie. After all, this is the only time when they can experience the world that they have loved before. There may be some changes but a lot of fans are still happy with it.
