Even though Burning Man is known for being an event that does not profit and they do not want to commercialize Burning Man, people must purchase tickets. It is believed that the money made from the ticket purchases goes toward non-profit organizations so that they can help those less fortunate.
In 2018, the ticket to attend Burning Man starts at a little less than four hundred dollars before the extra fees are added on which includes handling and delivery and tax. Also, there is a much higher ticket that can be purchased for over one thousand dollars which will help fund artists. The extras of food, drinks, souvenirs and car rentals costs more on top of the ticket purchase. It is not cheap.
