Even though I believe that the movie Venom will impress adults and older children alike, there is a chance that it may flop at the box office. Only time will tell. If it does fail at the box office, then Sony Studios may not make another movie based on a comic book character again. Obviously, money will not be made for the company.
Also, Marvel Comics may not partner with Sony Studios again to create a movie based on their characters. They may go with another studio. In regard to the characters, when a comic book movie based on one character flops, then people associate a flop with that character. Movies may not be made with that character again because they believe it will be a flop too.
