Which type of cell has a nucleus?

A eukaryote. A eukaryote is an organism which can have one simple cell or many more complex cells that have chromosomes which are contained inside a nucleus. Chromosomes are small bits of DNA (your genetic makeup). All living things are eukaryotes except for two specific types of bacteria- archaebacteria and eubacteria.

Everything you can see or touch is a eukaryote! This includes any fungus, plants, animals, and even algae (the green film sometimes found in bodies of water or pools. Any eukaryote that has only one cell and is not a fungus, an animal or a plant is called a single-celled protist.
