Type 1 Diabetes is the type of Diabetes that would affect younger people more. Type 2 Diabetes, on the other hand, usually affects those who are 40 years old and older. Take note that Diabetes can attack at any age. For Type 1, people are diagnosed when they are 14 years old. For those with Type 2 Diabetes, they can be diagnosed when they reach the age of 40 and above.

Take note that there are some that are diagnosed at any age as a person can develop this condition anytime. Type 2 Diabetes can be developed if people would continue having an unhealthy lifestyle. There are also other factors that may heighten the risk of acquiring the condition such as obesity and high blood pressure.
