You are aware that a ventriloquist has the ability to not open his mouth or show that he is speaking but do you realize that there are other skills and talents that a ventriloquist should have? One of these skills is the ability to do public speaking. It is hard to get up in front of an audience and pretend to have a conversation with your puppet. Another skill is the ability to make up a skit that will be funny and entertaining to the audience.
Even if ventriloquists know how to throw their voice, people will find it boring unless they start laughing. A ventriloquist should also know how to act. There are times when emotions should be exaggerated in order to make the whole act even more entertaining. There are a lot of skills that ventriloquists should learn and admittedly, some of these skills are not very easy.
