It was in the year 1967 and her album titled, “I Never Loved a Man the Way I Loved You” became a hit. This album is considered by a lot of fans as her best work.
Once when Franklin was done performing for an event, The Blues Man placed a crown on her head and nicknamed her “The Queen of Soul.” The title stuck and it is obvious that it fits her well.
