Bryant’s traction is a form of orthopedic traction standard in pediatrics. It is used to treat fractures in the femur and congenital hip dislocation in children below the age of 2 who also weigh below 30 lb.
For children over the age of 2, 90 – 90 traction (option D) is used to treat femoral fractures. Buck’s extension fracture (option B) is a form of skin traction used in the management and correction of fractures in the lower limb. Overhead suspension traction is used to treat fractures in the upper limb (humerus)
